Planning Your Itinerary for the Ultimate Overlanding Trip in Namibia
Updated: Jul 27
Embarking on an overlanding adventure in Namibia requires meticulous planning to ensure a smooth and memorable journey through this vast and diverse country and we're here to help! Before we have our first consultation, here are some things you might want to look into:
Time of Year and Duration:
Consider what time of year you want to go and how long you plan to stay in Namibia. The best time to visit depends on factors such as weather, crowd levels, wildlife viewing, budget etc. The dry season (May to October) is ideal for wildlife viewing and outdoor activities, while the wet season (November to April) offers lush landscapes, birdwatching opportunities and often better rates. Determine your duration based on the number of destinations you want to explore and the activities you wish to experience, allowing for flexibility in your itinerary to make the most of your time in Namibia.
Research and Prioritise Destinations:
Start by researching the various destinations Namibia has to offer and prioritise them based on your interests, time frame, and travel preferences. Are you drawn to wildlife viewing opportunities in Etosha National Park, or do you crave the otherworldly landscapes of Sossusvlei and the Namib-Naukluft National Park? Consider factors such as cultural experiences, outdoor activities, and must-see attractions, we can then tailor your itinerary to your preferences.

We will take into account the distances between destinations, road conditions, and travel times. Namibia's expansive terrain may require long drives, so we will allocate sufficient time for travel and exploration.
